LETTERS, Page 10Vitamin Deficiency
Not only did Henry VIII lack sufficient vitamin C (WORLD, Sept.
11), but so did 40% of the patients we examined in 1988 as part of
a research program. To be accepted, these chronically ill people
had to have been treated without adequate results by at least three
physicians. None of these patients, who came from various parts of
the country, had ever had their vitamin C levels checked.
Ninety-eight percent of them achieved normal vitamin C levels
within 100 days by eating raw fruits and vegetables and taking
appropriate vitamin C supplements.
